Old History 2002-2004
My trek into Apolo sites started with Golden Boy, it was hosted at Ohnofansite.org which doesn't exist anymore. I had the Apolo site up from March of 2002 until June, but once the big hype started to end the updates became less frequent. I took a big rest from the website world until a couple weeks ago, preparing
for a comeback. I saw that there were only three well known Apolo fan sites that were updated frequently, Ohnozone, Ohnovelocity, and Apolo Portal. I really wanted to get back and be part of such a reliable and fan based family of sites. The goal for Frozen Desires is to give back to the fans, the enjoyment and just everything I get out of Apolo. He is an amazing guy and thus I wanted to create and amazing site, for the fans by a fan. The site came from me and my cousin
thinking for hours on what to call the site. We wanted something that could stand out and just be original. Frozen because of the ice and Desires because of Apolo great love for his sport and his desire to win and be the best. Frozen Desires died out once my host became non existent. Then a wonderful thing happened around August of 2003, I discovered Fan-sites.org and got Simply Apolo hosted. I was so happy to finally have a website dedicated to my mentor and sharing it with fans old and new. Please enjoy the site as much as I enjoy keeping it up.
Update
With great success my dream has finally come true, Simply Apolo has grown into a domain which was purchased May 20, 2004. The future looks bright for Simply-Apolo.com! My main goal is to have a well-rounded fan-site of Apolo for the fans and hopefully get new fans informed on Apolo and short-track speedskating!!
And now back again, with a slightly edited name, SimplyApolo.com will offer a more fan orientated and media fansite, with videos, fanart, and more!
